Apex Wind is an independent blade engineering consultancy, based in Denmark and working worldwide. We investigate blade failures and establish their root cause, assess blade risk in transactions, support blade design, assessment and certification, and provide training for the teams who take decisions about blades.
What we do
Four areas of work
For buyers, lenders and asset managers: an assessment of what the blades on an asset are likely to cost over its life, and which risks should be reflected in the price or the contract.

- who need to know whether damage is urgent, what it is likely to cost, and where they stand on a claim or a warranty.

- OEMs and manufacturers
- who need design, test and certification support, or an independent second opinion.
Apex Wind is independent of the turbine and blade manufacturers. No OEM has an ownership interest in the company, none is a partner, and we receive no referral payments. We do not sell repairs, retrofits or hardware. Manufacturers, owners, insurers and service companies engage us on the same terms, which is what allows our assessments to be relied on by all parties.
